Do you want to help the admins run the furmeets or the parties? Are you willing to give up some of your time to make the experience awesome for everyone?
Well, we’re always on the hunt for assistants! This page is where you can find out the information you need if you wish to become one.
What we are looking for
We are looking for assistants to help with the main admin team during meets and parties. The main roles will involve:
- Helping during the meets themselves (set up and put away, general tasks)
- Fursuit walk handlers
- Equipment transportation (Rarely required)
- Special tasks during parties
- Passion and enthusiasm to helping the community over themselves
What we are NOT looking for
So for fairness and transparency, if you don’t have experience in running furmeets, or you cannot make every meet, we do not mind. As long as you got the passion and enthusiasm on helping out the Exeterfurs community, that’s all we ask for. We don’t even care if you do not have any special skills such as being a trained fire marshal, first aider or SIA badged security… (but if you DO have these… they’d be a bonus!). Also, if you do not hold a driving license to help with equipment transportation, we don’t care. If you do, and you can, then that’d be great. If not, it’s not going to be a detriment at all. We also don’t want people who just care for the name of being ‘Exeterfurs staff’ rather than helping the community. This is not a ‘staff’ role, as it were, but you will be acknowledged as part of the Exeterfurs team for being an assistant.

Awesome! However, we do have requirements if you do have skills mentioned above, and all have to be in-date (not expired).
Fire Marshal
Full one-day certification
First Aider
First Aid At Work certification. (This is the three-day course. Emergency First Aid At Work/One Day certifcations do not count).
Mental Health First Aider
Full MHFA certification.
SIA Badged Security
Full SIA security badge
